I almost didn't hire a doula for my homebirth. But I'm so very thankful that I did! At our prenatal meetings Chloe made sure she had the best possible understanding for everything I wanted and needed during my labor. My labor was long, and Chloe was there for me every step of the way. When it came time to be with me in person, she calmly sat with me through contractions. She came prepared with and offered different positions and options for comfort. She paid close attention to key little details of what I needed, always asked before doing anything, and always respected any request if I needed a hands-off moment. She encouraged me to keep going when things got long, always reminding me that this isn't forever, the end is in sight. My baby is coming soon! And when I needed to walk up and down the hallways and stairs to try to get things going again, she was there every step of the way. She prayed with us and for us. Reminding me Who was taking care of us. She was eager and willing to do anything within her power to help get us to the end safely. She never got in the way of my midwife or husband, she never replaced their role or support. When my husband desperately needed a rest she took over. But she made sure he was my primary support, she supported us both until the end, and beyond. After snuggling into my bed with my sweet new baby by my side, I was delighted to have delicious fresh made bread that she had made offered to me. Chloe was an invaluable rock. I can't imagine going on the journey without her. I'm so incredibly thankful for all that Chloe did for our family! I'm so thankful that she was a part of our journey.  

Ava's Experience

We were so blessed to have Chloe as our doula! Her energy is so warm and comforting and she really took the time to get to know us and our wishes, concerns, and was so thorough in helping us prepare for birth. As a first time parent and not knowing what to expect with birth, I felt so much more confident knowing Chloe would be there with me every step of the way and be there to fully support me in anyway I would need. I am so thankful to have had Chloe’s calming and encouraging presence during our birth experience and I can’t recommend her enough.

Sarah's Experience

I cannot say good enough things about Chloe and the services she has to offer! My goal with my second baby was to have a natural birth with the least amount of intervention possible. My first had ended in induction and wasn’t a good experience. With this second baby, my doctor had been pushing a “medical” induction on me beginning at 38 weeks, and I’m so glad that I didn’t. I let my baby grow a little bit longer. Chloe was super encouraging to me throughout my pregnancy and helped me advocate for myself, empowering me to decline induction three different times. I ended up making the decision to be induced at 41 weeks, but it didn’t take much before my body kicked in and knew what to do. During my early labor, Chloe was quick to respond and helped me make decisions while I was in the hospital and waiting for active labor to kick in. It was around 6PM  that labor started to really get intense. I was so scared and the pain was horrible. Chloe was on her way and I didn’t think I could go any longer, so I asked for an epidural. Chloe got to the hospital just in time! I was crying to her, telling her I couldn’t do it and needed an epidural, and she said “ok, let’s get off the bed and get on a ball.” She flipped the lights off, got some essential oils rubbed on me, turned on some worship music, and helped coach me through my contractions. Both my husband, and the nurses were amazed at how much my demeanor changed just by Chloe being present and helping me get through each contraction. I ended up canceling the epidural. I felt so calm and so at peace and was practically sleeping through my contractions, even when I was dilatated to a 9!!! Within three hours of Chloe arriving, we had our perfect healthy baby girl, and I had the birth that I always wanted. If you desire to have a natural birth, or even a birth in the hospital, I highly recommend getting a doula, especially Chloe! I wish I'd had her during my first birth.
