About Me

Hi!

I'm Chloe Forslund.

I am a follower of Jesus, a wife, a mom, a homemaker, and a doula. I have four babies of my own, one of whom is in heaven and one of whom is due to be born in February, 2025! My family and I live on a small hobby farm in central Minnesota where we love our chickens, dogs, goats and garden! My other interests include drinking too much coffee and baking bread.

As a certified birth doula, my goal is to support expectant mothers and their families through the journey of pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum. Being a doula is a passion for me, and I believe that my faith plays a significant role in the way I provide care for the families I support.

Emphasizing the Spiritual Aspect of Birth

One of the ways that my faith influences my work as a doula is by emphasizing the spiritual aspect of birth. As a Christian, I believe that birth is a sacred and beautiful event, one that God created us so well for. We as women often remember our birth experiences vividly, and my hope is for each family to look back upon their births positively.

Honoring the Sanctity of Life

Another way that my faith influences my work is I view every person as incredibly valuable and made in the image of God. This includes babies, both born and unborn, as well as moms, dads, and children. All should be treated with respect and dignity and be supported through the amazing event of birth. As a doula, I get to walk this value out with the families I serve.

Providing Compassionate Care

Finally, being a Christian doula influences the way I provide compassionate care to my clients. As a follower of Christ, I am called to love others as He loves us. This means that I approach my work with a heart full of compassion and empathy. I strive to create a safe and supportive environment for families, where they feel heard, seen, and cared for. I offer emotional and physical support, providing comfort measures and a listening ear when needed.

Complicated Pregnancy & Infant Loss Support

In February, 2020, I welcomed my first baby, Storie Grace, into the world. She lived 87 minutes before passing peacefully in my arms. We received her likely terminal diagnosis around 20 weeks into the pregnancy and my husband and I chose to honor her life by carrying her and being her parents here as long as God wanted us to.

Having experienced a complicated and highly emotional pregnancy myself, I am honored to be able to walk alongside other families experiencing similar hardship and tragedy during what is supposed to be a joyful time in their lives.
